As a mother, it is so easy to worry about everything. Is my child reaching all the right milestones? Why will my baby not sleep? Will my kid ever stop wearing a diaper? Are they getting enough to eat? There are so many different things that can come flooding through your mind and ultimately make you worry about your kids.
Our natural instinct is to protect our babies. But the truth is, there are so many things that are entirely out of our control. We can strive to do our best for them without worrying. Instead of being a worrier, change your mindset, and be a warrior.
Be the prayer warrior that your child needs. Worrying about circumstances is a lot harder to do when you are bathing your life in prayer. Start the day and end the day in prayer for you and your family. No matter what circumstances you may have to face, God is right there and already knows.
We don’t know what our little ones will face in the coming years. We can’t imagine the decisions they will come across as teenagers. Our world is continually changing around us. And as moms, there is only one thing we can rely on, and that is God. He will be there watching out for our kids when we can’t be. We can bring them to God in prayer every day.
Worrying does not accomplish anything, but praying can move mountains. Next time you feel overwhelmed and are stressed, take a moment to step back and say a quick prayer. Prayer changes things and is so much more powerful than we can fathom. Be the best mother you can be by being a warrior and not a worrier!
Philippians 4:6, “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made known unto God.”
