As a stay-at-home mom, I am always looking for new ways to help save money. Sorting through all the coupons and ads can be very time consuming, and with small children, I have plenty of other ways I need to spend my time.

I have found several different apps over the past few years that make saving money a lot easier. These apps give you cash back for certain purchases you make both online and in the stores. Today, I wanted to share a few of my favorites with you. If you haven’t tried these out yet, just click on the links below and get started saving today!

Ibotta – This was one of the first apps I signed up for. Since joining back in 2013, I have received over $800 in cash back. This app gives you options to earn cashback  for shopping in stores and online. They usually credit your account within 24 hrs. Once you reach $20 you can transfer it anytime to your Paypal or Venmo account.

Rakuten – If you prefer more online shopping, this is the one for you! Rakuten (previously known as Ebates) is one of the easiest ways to save. You simply create your account and then log into the app anytime you want to make an online purchase. Just click on the store you are wanting to make a purchase from. Rakuten will take you to their site and let you know how much cashback you can expect to receive.

Shopkick –  This app can turn a shopping trip into a scavenger hunt. It gives you kicks (points) for walking into certain stores if you have your app open. You can earn bonus kicks for scanning certain products while you are in the store. You can also get extra kicks for purchasing certain items. Kicks can be redeemed in the app for gift cards to your favorite stores.

Fetch Rewards  –  This one is probably the easiest to use. After signing up, you just simply snap pictures of your grocery receipts while in the app. Each receipt gives you points for uploading, plus you can earn bonus points for various items that are listed in the app. Once you reach 3,000 points you can transfer your points to gift cards.

All four of these apps are pretty simple to use and help make saving money easier. Whether you are an online shopper or prefer shopping in the stores, these apps will help put a little extra money back into your pocket. You can let your points pile up and use them towards a big purchase you’ve been wanting or use it to help cut back on your normal shopping expenses.

Happy Savings!
