Saving Money by Couponing

Saving Money by Couponing

I know when some people think of couponing, they think it’s too time-consuming to sit and clip coupons. I mean, seriously, who really has much time for that. Believe me, I know the feeling. I have a toddler and a baby so I do not have hours to look through ads and flip through the papers to clip coupons anymore. But I have found some easy ways to save money through a few coupon apps.

One of my favorites has been Ibotta and I have been able to get over $800 cashback from using it. Some of these apps just require a picture of your receipt uploaded and you can start earning points to redeem for gift cards. While some others require a little more time to select which items you bought and which store you bought them from. I was amazed at how much money I was able to get back just from scanning my receipts!

If you can take about 5 minutes after your grocery trip to upload your receipts to just a few of these apps, you will be amazed at how easy it is to start saving and earning money back. Here’s a list of some of my favorite apps I have been using over the past few years to help save money! I hope they help save you as much as they have for me!

  • Ibotta – https://ibotta.com/r/nmhqra

This was one of the first apps I decided to try out and is by far my favorite one! Since joining back in 2013, I have received over $800 in cashback. You just select a store and then select which products you bought at that store and upload a picture of your receipt. They usually credit your account within 24 hrs. Once you reach $20 you can transfer it anytime to your Paypal or Venmo account. Sign up today and start saving with referral code: nmhqra

  • Receipt Pal  – https://app.adjust.com/oqlq9t9?label=J6TEKXX3

This is one of the newer ones that I have come across. You can upload a picture of almost any receipt. Each receipt helps you earn more points that can be redeemed for gift cards to your choice of stores and even some restaurants.

  • Fetch Rewards  – https://fetchrewards.onelink.me/vvv3/referralemail?code=FJ7TJ

This app lets you upload a picture of your grocery store receipts. Each receipt gives you points for uploading plus you can earn bonus points for various items that are listed in the app. Once you reach 3,000 points you can transfer your points to gift cards.

  • Shopkick –  shopkick.app.link  referral code: SHOP080536

This app can turn a shopping trip into a scavenger hunt. It gives you kicks for walking into certain stores if you have your app open. You can earn bonus kicks for scanning certain products while you are in the store. You can also get extra kicks for purchasing certain items. Kicks can be redeemed in the app for gift cards to your favorite stores.

This app updates new offers weekly, so if you see a product you use, be sure to submit your receipt for it quickly. Just select which items you purchased, take a picture of your receipt and submit for cashback on your qualifying purchases. When you reach $20 you can cash out.

  • SavingStar

With this app, you select which item you bought and scan the item’s barcode and then snap a picture of your receipt to submit. It requires an extra step than some of the other apps but it is another way you can start saving money. Once you reach $20, you can cash out.

  • Receipt Hog

This app is another easy one to use. All you need to do is snap pictures of your receipts and submit them. You can earn bonuses for submitting at least once a week. This app lets you submit more than just grocery store receipts so be sure to use your gas and restaurant receipts as well to earn even faster. Your uploaded receipts give you points that can be turned into gift cards to your favorite stores.

  • Coupons

If you still like to clip paper coupons, this app lets you print coupons off to clip and take to the store. Or if you have a store loyalty card, you can link it to the app and send it directly to your card to see instant savings at the checkout counter. It also allows you to upload your receipts from certain stores to give you the coupon value for the item directly to your PayPal account.
